Yesterday, January 25th, 2025, the Olofin of Isheri, and Adimula of Awori land, HRM Ọba Sulaimon Bamgbade, officially commissioned a 500kVA transformer for the Mawere Community.
This significant project was facilitated by Hon. Folawewo Fatiu Salami, the hon. member of Ogun State House of Assembly representing the Ifo II State constituency, through the support of the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun, CON.
During the commissioning ceremony, Ọba Sulaimon Bamgbade lauded Hon. Salami for his unwavering dedication to the development of Mawere communities. The monarch emphasized Salami’s consistent support for the community, tracing the transformer donation back to his tenure as council boss. “His (Fola Salami) handwriting when it comes to developmental projects is boldly written on the wall of Mawere”, remarked Ọba Bamgbade, highlighting the impactful contributions of the honorable member.
In his address, Hon. Fola Salami expressed his commitment to further developmental initiatives in Mawere and other communities in Ifo.He reassured the community that more projects would be unveiled soon, emphasizing the importance of collaborating with the local council. He noted, “There will be a good synergy between me and the council boss, Hon. Idris Kushimo, to bring more developmental projects to Mawere Town, and other Communities”
The commissioning of the transformer marks a pivotal step in improving the community’s infrastructure, addressing power supply challenges, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
