Hon. Fola Salami, Ogun State Assembly member representing Ifo Constituency 2, declared the competition open. The Honourable Assembly member was accompanied by Hon.(Prince) Babatunde Onifade, Councillor representing Oke-Aro/Ibaragun Ward 7, among other dignitaries.

In his opening remarks, Hon. Fola Salami emphasized the importance of fair play, unity, and love among the participating teams. He reminded everyone that the purpose of this gathering is to promote togetherness and sportsmanship.

The Honourable Assembly member announced attractive prizes for the runners-up and the winner, with the champion team taking home a prestigious gold cup.

“This is just the beginning,” Hon. Fola Salami said, promising to host subsequent editions of the tournament. He commended the sponsor for their efforts in putting together this event in his honour and that of Distinguished Senator Yayi.

Not surprisingly, Hon. Fola Salami expressed his support for his team, Fola Yayi, and even promised an extra prize if they emerge victorious.
