In a bid to improve community security and the safety of lives and property of citizens, Hon. Fatiu Folawewo Salami, member representing Ifo Constituency II in the Ogun State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, 14th October, 2025, introduced a motion with the caption “Urgent Need for Inter-Agency Security Intervention in Mosafejo Community, Ifo Local Government Area, Ogun State.”
The petition, lodged prior to the plenary session, pointed out the immediate security issues of the Mosafejo community and called for immediate, concerted action on the part of the concerned security agencies to restore order and peace to the area.
in his words
It has come to my attention, through credible reports from residents and community leaders, that there has been a steady and worrisome influx of foreign nationals, particularly persons suspected to be from the Republic of Cameroon, into the Mosafejo area in recent times.
This unsettling development has generated serious security concerns among residents and poses potential threats to the peace, stability, and safety of lives and property in Mosafejo and adjoining communities within Ifo II State Constituency.
If not promptly addressed, the situation could degenerate into a major security challenge, extending beyond Mosafejo to other parts of Ifo Local Government Area and indeed the entire Ogun State. There is therefore an urgent need for a comprehensive investigation and decisive inter-agency action to forestall possible breakdown of law and order.
